Junior Network Engineer

SUMMARY

We're looking for a Junior Level Network Engineer with 2-3 years of hands-on experience in routing, switching, and troubleshooting in a dynamic, large-scale environment. This role supports daily networking requests, assists with implementations, and contributes to both legacy and modern architectures (core-distribution and spine-leaf). Ideal for someone eager to learn, collaborate, and grow.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Handle daily network tickets (Wi-Fi issues, circuit outages, VLAN changes, latency/bandwidth issues).
• Assist with routing calculations, VPN failovers, and complex network topologies.
• Configure switches and routers from the ground up.
• Work with Cisco (including Nexus), plus some Meraki and Ubiquiti gear.
• Support Layer 2/3 environments and architecture transitions (core-dist ? spine-leaf).
• Collaborate with senior engineers and other technical teams.
• Help with implementations and ongoing network improvements.
• Manage ~15-20 daily requests with varying complexity.
• Participate in building an on-call rotation.

REQUIREMENTS

• 2-3 years of network engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of routing/switching and L2/L3 concepts.
• Experience with Cisco technologies; Nexus/Meraki/Ubiquiti a plus.
• Ability to configure routers/switches from scratch.
• Familiarity with large architectures, VPN failovers, and modern designs like spine-
• Strong troubleshooting skills (Wi-Fi, circuits, latency, bandwidth).
• Team-oriented, eager to learn, patient, and reliable work ethic.
